Women's clubs
Women's golf clubs for beginners
Every complete set and individual club in the dataset that a maker sells as a women's line or with a ladies (L) flex as stock: 22 clubs, sorted by price. The difference from the men's clubs is fit, not forgiveness: a lighter, softer shaft, a shorter standard length and a lighter grip on the same wide-sole heads.

Questions buyers ask
What is different about women's golf clubs?
Three things, all about fit rather than ability: a lighter, softer shaft (L flex) that a slower swing can load, a shorter standard length (usually an inch shorter than men's), and lighter, thinner grips. The heads are the same forgiving designs; some women's lines add a touch more loft to help launch.
Does a beginner need a women's line, or just a ladies flex?
A women's line gives you the shorter length and lighter grip as standard. A men's or unisex club ordered in L flex gives the shaft but usually the men's length, which suits taller golfers. Under about 5 feet 4 inches, the women's line is the safer default; over about 5 feet 8 inches, a unisex club in L flex at standard length often fits better. The table shows both kinds.
Are women's complete sets forgiving?
Yes: they use the same wide-sole, high-offset designs as the men's boxed sets, with lighter shafts and shorter lengths. 9 women's or ladies-flex boxed sets are in the table with their club lists and prices.
Is it worth buying individual clubs as a beginner?
Usually not for the first season; the boxed set is the cheaper way to find out whether you will play. If you already know you will, the individual clubs here are the ones sold in a ladies flex, and the beginners page shows a built set against a boxed set at the same money.
